Branding isn’t something that I have considered very much as a maker. Branding as a style? Branding as a logo? Branding as an intent? As potter’s we all have our individual stamps which we use to mark our work. With my burnished work I often make the stamp and attach it separately allowing it to be an integral part of the piece and not only the mark of the maker. So perhaps this is me ‘branding’ my work, my signature, something that recognises it was my hands that formed the shape, carved the design, burnished the surface.
