Art in Clay Farnham is the perfect time to buy beautiful, unique pieces before Christmas. There will be a range of exhibitors from newly qualified and emerging ceramic artists, to established makers with many years of creative work behind them. The show offers a fantastic variety of work, all made in clay. From animal sculptures to pots designed for domestic use, with a vast range in between to interest anyone that appreciates ceramics.

Presented by Craft In Focus, this event gives visitors an opportunity to discover the very best in the world of contemporary ceramics from 150 exhibiting ceramic artists - all with the 'wow' factor!

This fine selection of diverse artistic talent includes outstanding work by well-known names as well as the best of emerging talent, including several contestants from TV's The Great Pottery Throw Down.

The event is set against the backdrop of Waterperry House and Gardens, home to Art in Action for  40 years.

Embrace the opportunity to meet, engage with and purchase directly from the artists, and take time to enjoy an exciting range of food, drink and live music on offer in the event's food village.

Explore the studios of the artists, designers and creative businesses who work inside Phoenix Art Space. The building is currently home to 120 professional artists at all stages of their careers including painters, photographers, filmmakers and designers. Learn about their practices, processes and ideas and gain insight into the surroundings that serve to support and inspire them.

Artists Open Houses May festival 2023:
Weekends, 6th –28th May

Visiting artists in their homes and studios, viewing art in domestic settings, meeting the artists and makers, hearing about how the work is made and what motivates its makers, is always inspirational. Artists Open Houses embraces the entire community, encompassing all generations, from school students to residents of seniors’ centres; from artists just starting out on their careers, to those with national reputations. Several venues include work of students, emerging artists, neuro-diverse and learning-disabled artists. Some offer workshops and events where you can get hands-on and involved.

POTFEST SOUTH EAST

Potfest South East - Glynde Place is set in parkland immediately in front of a grand Elizabethan country house on the doorstep of the South Downs and easy distance from Brighton, Eastbourne and Lewes.

Over 90 makers have been selected to showcase a wide and diverse range of work that is guaranteed to delight and inspire.  Discover functional and decorative ceramics to suit all tastes and budgets and buy direct from the maker.
